These publications are produced by Kansas High School Journalism classes from all over the state by Scholastic Press Corps students. For some of these students this is their first real experience in journalism. Many of them have very limited experience with agriculture and some students just started school the week prior to the Kansas State Fair.
A five member team arrives between 8:00-9:00 am and has until 6:00 pm to complete a four page newsletter containing three unique stories. Teams are assigned an agriculture story and a lead story when they arrive to the fair. The third story of their newsletter is one they choose themselves.
