MLK Day Community Reception at the Cosmosphere

HUTCHINSON, Kan.—On Monday, January 15, the Cosmosphere will host a community reception to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., the community is invited to the Cosmosphere for performances from local musicians and dance troops. Light refreshments will be served in the newly renovated Cosmo Cafe and the public is invited to view a new exhibit in the museum rotunda, titled “Dream Makers”— which celebrates the contributions and accomplishments of several African-American astronauts.

Also, in anticipation of the holiday, the Cosmosphere has brought back the popular 2017 film, “Hidden Figures”. The movie will be shown at 7:00 p.m. on both Friday, January 12, and Saturday, January 13, in the Cosmosphere’s Carey Digital Dome theater.

For “Hidden Figures” showtimes or more information on the MLK Jr. Day event, please call the Cosmosphere Box Office at 620.662.2305.
