Cosmosphere CEO Elected Board Chair for Giant Screen Cinema Association

Cosmosphere president and chief executive officer Jim Remar has been elected 2023 Chair of the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) Board of Directors. Association members represent filmmakers, distributors, and theaters from nearly 30 countries. Remar joins leaders from Michael Daut Productions and K2 Studios, the Tennessee Aquarium, and the Saskatchewan Science Centre as newly-elected GSCA Board officers.

Remar has served on the GSCA Board of Directors for the past year. His one-year term as Board Chair begins January 1, 2023. He will also serve on the Governance Committee of the Board.

The Cosmosphere shows films made for giant screens in its two-story Carey Digital Dome Theater, featuring a 4K digital projection system that envelopes viewers in an immersive theater experience. The Carey Digital Dome Theater shows educational documentaries during Cosmosphere’s regular hours, with popular feature films available on weekends. Remar’s election to the position of Board Chair for GSCA connects Cosmosphere and its audiences to cutting edge developments in the giant screen cinema industry.

The Cosmosphere International SciEd Center & Space Museum is a Smithsonian Affiliate.
