The Earthrising event, which will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Meadowlark Building at the Kansas State Fairgrounds, will consist of a dinner and panel presentation.

Confirmed Apollo-era Astronauts to attend include: Walt Cunningham, Charlie Duke, Fred Haise, Jack Lousma, Jim Lovell, and Harrison Schmitt.  Confirmed Mission Control crew include: Arnold Aldrich, Jerry Bostick, Charles Deiterich, Gerry Griffin, Charles Lewis, Glynn Lunney, William Moon, Frank Van Rensselaer, and Milt Windler.  Other honored guests include book author Robert Kurson, who wrote “Rocket Men: The Daring Odyssey of Apollo 8 and the Astronauts Who Made Man’s First Journey to the Moon” and current NASA Mission Control Engineer, Michael Staab.
