In the News: Hidden Figures Artifacts and STEM Education

The film Hidden Figures has been a huge hit with box office figures of over $110 million! While the Cosmosphere does not have the film for viewing yet, we do have lots of great artifacts related to the Mercury missions. Many artifacts featured and referenced in the film can be found right here in Hutchinson, KS! Adam Stewart with the Hutchinson News has a fantastic article covering a list of these artifacts:

Also noted in the article is the importance of attracting young girls to the STEM fields including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This is something we feel strongly about at the Cosmosphere.We love to see young students find their inspiration as they learn about all sorts of topics– from rocketry to gardening in space!
