Time is Treasure
Cosmosphere Satellite Volunteers
Cosmosphere volunteers are an integral part of the organization's daily operations. Without volunteers, the Cosmosphere would be unable to conduct the wide variety of programs and services now offered.
Cosmosphere volunteers are called "Satellites," because they serve as shining ambassadors to the community. Satellites meet as a group several times a year. All volunteers are encouraged to attend, as these meetings provide pertinent information, opportunities to learn interesting facts and important occasions for increasing camaraderie amongst all volunteers.
BENEFITS
- Special volunteer-only events
- Invitations to special guest speakers
- Discount on all purchases in the gift store
- Free admission to all Cosmosphere venues (does not include family members)
EXPECTATIONS
- Satellites are asked to work a minimum of 20 hours a year. If this goal is not met, we remove the satellite's name from the active list.
- Satellites are encouraged to attend training sessions when offered.
- Satellites are asked to sign in when working and record your hours.
