Cosmosphere began as the first planetarium in Kansas and today, it offers one of the most technically advanced planetariums in the region. You’ll leave knowing exactly what planets and stars will be over Kansas that evening and how to find them in the night sky.

Our Universe brings together two venues that will show you what it took to power humankind to space and what you might see when you look up to the night sky in wonder. Justice Planetarium and Dr. Goddard’s Lab are located in the Our Universe Gallery and presented as one ticket.

Journey back 2000 years to Bethlehem as we seek to discover a scientific explanation for the star the wise men followed to find the baby Jesus. We’ll investigate possible dates for the birth of Christ and look at recorded sightings of significant astronomical events during this time frame. We’ll explore which of these signs in the sky could have been remarkable enough to cause the wise men to cross the desert from Babylon to Bethlehem just to see a newborn King. This modern retelling of the Christmas story is sure to charm and captivate audiences of all ages.

THE NEXT GIANT LEAP IN HUMAN SPACEFLIGHT IS UPON US.
NASA – and others – have their sights set on the Red Planet, and they’re building the technology to get us there! Destination Mars: The New Frontier gives audiences an up-close look at humanity’s most epic endeavor. Explore the work being done around the globe to help make the dream of getting humans to Mars a reality. Fly through the International Space Station, where astronauts are already living and working in space, and follow the rockets and vehicles that will take humans beyond the Moon and, one day, all the way to Mars! Travel along as we imagine this remarkable journey.

Journey through the night sky of each season during this engaging live production. You’ll find out why we have seasons, and discover how the sky changes throughout the year. On each stop, you’ll learn about bright constellations and dazzling deep sky objects. To wrap up, you’ll receive a preview of tonight’s sky, so you can go out and stargaze yourself!
