Join the Cosmosphere Friday, January 12 beginning at 2:45 pm in our Grand Lobby for a Live Watch Party of the rollout ceremony for NASA’s X-59 QueSST (short for Quiet SuperSonic Technology), an experimental piloted aircraft. NASA’s live coverage will begin at 3:00 pm CST. Refreshments and fun X-59 activity sheets will be available.
NASA has contracted with Lockheed Martin SkunkWorks to build a new, full-scale X-plane to help solve the challenge of understanding sonic booms and how to make them quieter.
