Along with SCUBA training, Spring into STEM campers train like astronauts using Cosmosphere’s 4G centrifuge, multi-access trainer, and Soyuz capsule.

Additional activities:

  • Complete a mission to orbit the Earth using both the Cosmosphere’s Mission Control Center and Astralis capsule-based simulator modeled after NASA’s Orion capsule
  • Design a model rocket and test maximum altitude. Next, launch a powerful 2-stage model rocket with a payload to test launch conditions.
  • Learn to code. Start with block coding and designing SPIKE Prime LEGO robotics, then strive for victory in the Battlebots ring.
  • Learn to fly drones through an obstacle course.
  • Apply engineering skills with 3-D printing.
  • Dive into exciting worlds using virtual reality technology.

Simulations based on space history build crucial life skills: problem solving, critical thinking, and teamwork.

Please note: Activities are subject to change. Significant changes will be communicated prior to camp.
