The list of youth organizations engineering a great summer at Cosmosphere is growing.
Trail Life USA joins the pack this year, with the new Trail Life: STEM Camp. Other youth organization specialty camps offered this summer include Merits of Space for Scouts BSA and Space Research for Girl Scouts. Camps are five days / four nights of non-stop excitement combined with the most relevant space-based STEM education available.
Youth Work On Real Space Issues
In each of the three camps, participants become part of today’s space science and STEM by:
- Constructing a cloud chamber to track cosmic rays
- Predicting and problem-solving for the dangers of Mars exploration—THE hot topic for this generation’s space science and STEM pros!
- Mapping out a lunar surface rover mission
- Bonding with new friends and future colleagues through intense teamwork—each camp culminates in a realistic space flight simulation!
Hard-to-Find Badges, Brand New Awards
The Merits of Space and Girl Scouts camps are open to Scouts entering grades 7-9 and include otherwise hard-to-find badges such as Nuclear Science for BSA and Space Science Researcher for Girl Scouts.
Trail Life: STEM Camp is for Navigators entering grades 6-8. Campers will be among the first to earn brand new Trail Life awards.
