HUTCHINSON, KS, Dec. 18, 2024 – As an institutional member of the National Aeronautic Association (NAA), the Cosmosphere is pleased to announce that its president and chief executive officer, Jim Remar, has been elected to the NAA’s Board of Directors. Founded in 1905, the NAA is the oldest aviation club in the United States. The mission of the nonprofit organization is “to oversee the advancement of the art, sport, and science of aviation and space flight,” which it achieves by promoting and officiating aviation competitions and record attempts, maintaining U.S. aerospace records, and educating the public on topics related to aviation and space flight, among other methods.
“I am honored to have been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the oldest and most
respected aviation club in the United States,” said Remar. “The mission of the NAA is in lock-step
with the Cosmosphere’s mission of inspiring the future through space exploration. I look forward
to helping to shape the future of U.S. aviation and space flight in this role.” Remar’s term on the
NAA Board of Directors will begin on January 1, 2025.
