Cosmosphere members, join us Thursday, May 18 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, for an exclusive, members-only presentation by Vince Capone, the operations manager for the Apollo F-1 engine recovery project. He designed the search and helped analyze the data, developing the recovery prioritization strategy.

In 2012 Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon.com, and his team successfully retrieved the Apollo F-1 engines from the floor of the Atlantic Ocean. The Cosmosphere's fabrication, restoration and high fidelity division was choosen to conserve the parts in order to preserve their complete history.

Capone will give a multimedia presentation on the recovery of those very engines. You don't want to miss this.
