This volunteer works with the KCSC Collections Manager and KCSC staff to help inventory KCSC artifacts. This person safely stores artifacts and is required to photograph, measure, log details, and attach barcodes to each artifact. This person must also be detail oriented and follow instructions precisely. This position is a weekday project only and the Collections Manager must approve the hours you will work.
Restoration Helper
This volunteer must have experience in a shop environment. Appropriate levels of proficiency in areas of welding, machining, woodworking and painting are required. This person will work under the supervision of the manager of exhibits and restoration. Tasks range from corrosion removal, machining parts, fabrication and painting to cutting wood with a saw and forming plastic.
